Here’s something I hear from so many parents. They genuinely want to build devotional time into their family’s week. They have the desire, they have the heart for it, they may even have a devotional sitting on the shelf ready to go. What they don’t have is a plan, and without one, that good intention quietly slips away week after week.
That’s exactly what this guide is here to fix.
Where It Came From
I’ll be honest, I’m an extremely organized person. It’s just how I’m wired.
For years, my husband and I would sit down together and actually map out our devotional time. I’d find the devotional we wanted to do, and then I’d plan it out day by day: what we wanted to accomplish, which pages of the book we’d cover, a video to add here, a topic to focus on there. When the day arrived, there was no scrambling and no wondering what we were supposed to do. We’d simply open the plan and go.
I know not everyone thinks this way, and that’s the whole point. I wanted to take the system that’s worked for my family all these years and hand it to families who have the desire but have never known how to turn it into something that actually happens.

From Good Intention to a Real Plan
The hardest part of family devotions isn’t the wanting. It’s the figuring out how to make it fit your actual life.
This guide walks you through that first crucial step of sitting down and planning it out on paper, so it can genuinely be done. You look at your week honestly and decide what works. Maybe you only have room for Wednesdays. Maybe daily fits your season, or weekly, or every other week. Whatever it is, you map out what you’ll cover on each day: the pages, the topic, the video, the verse, all of it laid out ahead of time so that when the day comes, you’re not scrambling. You just open your planner and go.
Then you take what you’ve planned and drop it into whatever keeps you on track, your phone calendar, a reminder, however you already run your life. The guide handles the thinking-it-through part, and your calendar handles the nudging. That combination is what turns a good idea into something you actually follow.
Works With Any Devotional You Choose
Here’s what I love most about it: this planning guide isn’t locked to any one resource.
You can absolutely use it to plan out one of our inTENNtional devotionals or a Faith Filled Family devotional. But you can just as easily use it with any devotional or book you already own and love. The guide doesn’t care what you’re studying. It simply gives you a clear way to plan whatever you’ve chosen, so the resource sitting on your shelf finally becomes part of your week instead of a good intention gathering dust.
Who This Is For
If you’ve ever said “I want to do this with my family, I just don’t know how to plan it,” this was made for you.
You don’t have to be naturally organized. You don’t have to have it figured out. You just have to be willing to take that first step of putting it on paper, and the guide walks you through the rest. It meets you exactly where you are and gives you a way forward.
